FRAC AUVERGNE

The Fonds Régional pour l’Art Contemporain Auvergne (FRAC Auvergne) was created in 1985 at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and of the Conseil Régional (Regional Council) of Auvergne. It has been given four principal missions:

  • Constitution of a collection of contemporary art that is accessible to the general public;
  • Management of this collection, made up of more than 700 works from contemporary artists of national and international renown;
  • Diffusion of the works assembled, in the form of exhibitions and loans to other institutions;
  • Public awareness about contemporary artistic creation in all adapted forms (workshops, guided visits, publications, educational projects, etc.).

Buoyed by its commitment to the cultural scene of Clermont and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, the Michelin Corporate Foundation is proud to support this essential factor in the development and influence of contemporary creation in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
