As the spearhead of this legacy, the Foundation’s action reflects the values of respect and solidarity the Group holds so dear. Just like Michelin, the Foundation’s standing is global and its “Helping people move forward” signature illustrates its sponsorship projects’ human dimension, mediums of progress and social development. Lastly, the Foundation concretises two of the Group’s priorities in terms of sustainable development: facilitating employees’ involvement and self-fulfilment as well as improving life quality through sustainable mobility. The scope and diversity of projects that are already being piloted by its teams bear witness to its dynamism and show beautiful promise for the Foundation, which is a source of pride for all the Group’s employees." It follows Michelin’s traditional societal commitment by echoing the values of respect and solidarity borne by the Group since its creation. To do so, it supports projects that are innovative, engaged in the life of the “City”, coherent with the Group’s activities and close to its collaborators and sites. The Foundation’s vocation is to act as a complement to the Group’s subsidiaries’ sponsorships, especially by relaying their involvement in local life. This patronage is already very present in many countries where Michelin develops activities. The Michelin Corporate Foundation aims to bear general interest projects in the long term in every country where the Group is implanted. The Foundation supports projects in five fields: - Sustainable mobility - Sport and health - Education and the community - Protecting the environment - Heritage and the arts These diverse fields of intervention allow a large number of collaborators, who are involved in associations, foundations or charities, to seek support from the Foundation. It wishes to offer each and every one a new opportunity to demonstrate his/her spirit of generosity and creativity. Grant requests can also be submitted by external persons to the Michelin Group.
