Imprimer

At the 107th Congress of Mayors and Presidents of Intermunicipal Authorities of France (AMF) in Paris, the french Road Safety Association and its partners unveiled the list of 179 new municipalities awarded the “Safe City” label as part of the 8th edition of the label. This label recognizes municipalities, regardless of their size, that make a concrete commitment to road safety and prevention.

🎯 Label Objectives:
• To highlight municipalities that are exemplary in road safety and prevention, symbolized by a sign installed at the town entrance.
• To involve local decision-makers in road safety issues.
• To provide tools to support the implementation of actions: webinars, newsletters, conferences at the Senate, and a dedicated platform with back-office support.

Key figures:
637 municipalities now certified
More than 7.8 million French people involved

Because we want to make road safety a shared priority across all our regions for a lasting and participatory impact.

A partner of the Road Safety Association since 2014, the Michelin Corporate Foundation has been supporting the development of the “Safe City” label and the creation of mobilization kits for certified municipalities since 2025.

Forrest Patterson, our Executive Director, was on site on November 18 to celebrate the newly certified municipalities with all the partners.
