Encouraging diversity in science professions

Imprimer

Women represent only 35% of graduates in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

And this figure has stagnated for over 10 years.

The International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 12th was an opportunity to highlight the continued inequality in access to scientific and digital fields. Faced with these challenges, we support initiatives that take concrete action to encourage gender diversity and broaden opportunities.

FONDATION MATHEMATIQUE JACQUES HADAMARD

We support a mathematics excellence scholarship program in Paris-Saclay, designed to encourage young women to pursue research by supporting 4 students for 3 years towards their doctorate and helping to rebalance a discipline where they still only represent about 20% of doctoral students.

FONDATION BLAISE PASCAL

We support the AstroMaths program, organized with gender parity. An immersive summer camp in astrophysics that sparks passion, where young people come to both practice outdoor sports activities and gain new advice and tools for their scientific studies.

DECODEUSES & BECOMTECH

We support concrete programs to guide young women towards careers in digital technology, remove barriers related to stereotypes, and boost their confidence in sectors that are still very male-dominated.

Because science and technology are shaping the world of tomorrow, it is essential to ensure the full diversity of talent within them.

👉 By working together, supporting committed projects, and showcasing inspiring career paths: this is how we can collectively change perceptions and career trajectories.
