Alongside its cultural partners, the Michelin Corporate Foundation is committed to making culture and the arts accessible to everyone, including in rural areas and small towns. Bringing culture to life locally, attracting new audiences, and enhancing the appeal of the regions are all ambitions that guide its work. In the heart of Brioude, a designated “Land of Art and History,” the modern and contemporary art space – Le Doyenné – has been fostering encounters between the public and renowned artists such as Marc Chagall, Joan Miró, Nicolas de Staël, Pablo Picasso, Ernest Pignon-Ernest, Hans Hartung, and Jean Dubuffet since 2018. From July 4 to October 18, the new exhibition “Henri Matisse in the Adventure of Fabric” invites you on a journey around the world, exploring the textile universe so dear to the artist, brought to life by the remarkable work of the curators. Just steps from the Saint-Julien Basilica, discover another side of Matisse at the Doyenné!
