On your marks!

The 45th edition of the Clermont festival starts this evening Friday January 27 and runs until February 4.

It is here in Auvergne that the most important international festival devoted exclusively to short films takes place. Each year, it attracts 3,600 professionals to the court market and welcomes more than 170,000 spectators to Clermont halls.

Three competitions will bring together the short films selected this year from more than 8,400 films received from all over the world, including almost 2,000 for France alone.

78 films from 52 nationalities will be presented in international competition. The lab competition will feature 25 films from 23 countries. Finally, 56 French films, including 10 international co-productions, will make up the national competition.

The Michelin Foundation is committed alongside the Sauve Qui Peut le Court Métrage association and supports the Retrospective of the country in the spotlight this year: TAIWAN.
