Michelin Corporate Foundation Grand Prize – Travel Sketchbook

We were in Clermont-Ferrand to celebrate the 25th edition of the Travel Sketchbook Rendezvous and to present our Grand Prize, as we do every year.

The 2025 Michelin Corporate Foundation Grand Prize was awarded on Friday, November 14th at City Hall by our Executive Director, Forrest Patterson, to the travel sketchbook :

🎖️ “Dehors” (Outside) published by La Belle Terre.

Corinne Salvi (illustrations) and Christian Begin (text) participated in the Travel Sketchbook Rendezvous for the first time. A magnificent sketchbook that can be read in both directions: summer/winter, then winter/summer… winter skiing, summer cycling—quite a program of outdoor adventures! 

The jury also awarded a special prize to the artist Simon (illustrations) and Patrick Dufossé (texts) for their travelogue “Frères d’arbres, carnet de marche dans le Massif des Maures” (Ed. La Traversière – self-published), written over a decade of repeated trips to the Massif des Maures. A wonderful invitation to hike!

A big congratulations also to all the nominated artists for the richness and sensitivity of their creations, which remind us that traveling is above all about learning to see things differently.

Thank you to the organizing association Il Faut Aller Voir and to all the volunteers, including many Michelin employees who dedicate their time each year to making this event, which connects art, people, and the land, a reality.
