Mathematics is not only at the heart of scientific advances, it is essential to innovation.
The Jacques Hadamard Mathematical Foundation (FMJH) is a key player in fundamental research in mathematics, founded by the CNRS, the École Polytechnique, the ENS Paris Saclay, the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques and the University of Paris-Saclay.
By supporting the Jacques Hadamard Mathematical Foundation, the Michelin Corporate Foundation contributes to accelerating interactions between fundamental research, businesses and emerging disciplines.
Faced with the observation that women only represent 20% of doctoral graduates each year in mathematics, the FMJH has launched a call for applications in 2024 to obtain 10 scholarships, in order to enable young female students to pursue their studies up to the doctorate.
Wishing to promote diversity in this field of excellence and encourage female talents, the Michelin Corporate Foundation has joined forces with the FMJH in this approach, and has awarded four scholarships in 2024 to young female students in order to support for 3 years, from the license to the doctorate.
Let’s encourage today’s researchers in building tomorrow’s solutions!
