CREATION OF THE GASTON BERGER INSTITUTE

The Michelin Group is a long-time partner of INSA Lyon, a benchmark engineering school, recognized for the quality of its courses, with which it shares common humanistic, social and ethical values. Building on this association, the Michelin Corporate Foundation has made a commitment to the INSA Foundation to promote and support the school in its development. It has most notably helped to found the Gaston Berger Institute whose purpose is to prepare engineering students for the jobs of the future.

The Institute’s particular role is to spot trends and perspectives within an Observatory of Innovation and Diversity. It carries out fundamental research to feed the study curriculum and designs awareness-raising courses, new teaching modules and innovative institutional programs.

This partnership clearly reaffirms the Michelin Corporate Foundation’s commitment to education, innovation and the training of tomorrow’s engineers which has always been central to Michelin’s values and concerns.
