Very committed to the dynamic of the territories where the Michelin group is established, the Michelin Corporate Foundation wants to contribute to the preservation of local heritage.
Because culture is a common good and a universal mode of expression, we must make it accessible to as many people as possible.
For Michelin, it is one of the pillars of human development, through a heritage from the past and a legacy to future generations.
We are therefore very happy to have 15 Michelin sites this year in France for the 6th edition of the operation “On the road to the Largest Museum of France”, organized by the Fondation de la Sauvegarde de l’Art Français and the support of the Michelin Corporate Foundation.
Did you know ?
There are more masterpieces scattered throughout France (our streets, our parks, our public places), accessible to all free of charge, than are kept in the Louvre Museum!
So the treasure hunt is on!
From March 4 to May 31, 2024, employees of the 15 Michelin sites are embarking on a vast “treasure hunt” in their respective departments in search of endangered works of art. If the outcome of the campaign is the rescue of a work of art, it is also an opportunity to rediscover our local heritage, which has sometimes become invisible and neglected.
Over the last 5 years, fifty works of art have benefited from restoration. Thanks to the commitment of more than 500 Michelin employees, we will reach a total of 65 restored works at the end of this 6th edition!
We are proud to contribute to French cultural dynamism by supporting the actions of the Foundation for the Safeguarding of French Art.
