The Michelin Foundation supports the SuM4All “Sustainable Mobility for All” initiative, launched in 2017 by the World Bank, which aims to promote sustainable and inclusive mobility for all citizens, in particular the most vulnerable.
Because road safety remains a major global health and development concern, with more than 1.35 million people killed and 50 million people injured on the roads each year. And because more than 90% of road deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries.
The SuM4All report provides practical and actionable policy guidance and concrete case studies on how countries can implement a systemic and integrated approach to road safety. It covers a wide range of topics, such as public transport, electric vehicles, road safety, accessibility, urban planning, etc.
