The Curie Institute is one of the largest European centres of cancer research. Founded by Marie Curie in 1909, this cancer research centre has always distinguished itself by its avant-garde position, associating fundamental research with innovative care. To support the fight against breast cancer, the Michelin Corporate Foundation has financed the production of a documentary film and a web documentary by the Curie Institute, to be diffused on the Internet and entitled “Guérir le regard”.

As tools to assist patients and their entourage, these two works are intended to help women affected by breast cancer to find their own path towards reconstruction. Conceived to be interactive and educational, they offer very moving accounts while also providing a lot of practical information. The web documentary is accessible online at the guerirleregard.fr site and the film may be viewed at the website of the Curie Institute; the film has been viewed more than 34,000 times and has received positive acclaims. Henceforth subtitled in English, it is also shown internationally.
